Guestbook Privacy Notice

This notice applies to the “Leave a Kind Word” guestbook.

When you submit a message, we collect your display name, message, submission time, IP address, browser information, and country, region or city when supplied by a trusted provider. IP-based locations are approximate.

Only the display name, approved greeting and date appear publicly. IP addresses, location data and browser information are not public. The site owner controls manual review; when manual review is disabled, submissions passing safety checks may appear immediately.

Public messages may be indexed by search engines and shared by visitors. Please do not include phone numbers, home addresses, identity documents, health information or other sensitive data.

By default, visitor IP and browser data on public messages are removed after 90 days; pending, rejected and hidden submissions are purged after 90 days. Block and audit records may have different retention periods.

New submissions receive a private message management code shown once; only its verification hash is stored. A matching code can be used to hide the message. Removal requests without a code and impersonation claims require manual review; a display name or IP alone does not establish authorship. Reports and removal requests record the source IP, time and necessary explanation and are subject to retention limits.
